Dual mass flywheel on Xantia HDi's?

Post by steelcityuk »

Hi,

Does anyone know if the 110 HDi has a dual mass flywheel fitted? My Xantia judders really badly in reverse when slipping the clutch and badly in forward when pulling away, it makes town driving a pain. The car had a clutch kit fitted by the previous owner at a cost of £548. In all other ways the clutch seems normal, it's light and doesn't slip under acceleration. I suppose it could just be contaminated but if the engine is fitted with a DMF then I'd like to replace it with a normal setup when I have the gearbox off if one is available. If not I'm tempted to weld it up as owners of other cars have done.

Any ideas?

Steve.
