Hi David. Yep, I'm watching it - saw it as soon as it came on!
And I've actually got a clutch kit already...
Hardly round the corner from me either though, and unfortunately it may be
more up Birmingham salvage's street. There's quite a bit of Activa culling
going on at the moment with a few jumping on the bandwaggon - must have
been a Revs/Redline Fast'n Furious show/magazine where a conversion from
one was shown...
my blood's boiling already!

Hmm you dont have a Good LWB landy do you going spare TD though plase lol
I would take that car if it stayed at under £100 but above that i couldnt afford to take the clutch change on, even with my spare kit due to time to spoend faffing with MOT, and fitting the clutch itself plus anythign else like tyres or suchlike it may need...

I've been in touch with him and he's open to selling the car direct to a
fellow Citroen nutter knowing full well it's fate if left on ebay.
Yours for 300...
He does rate the car very highly and sees it far from scrapyard fodder,
although I must admit having seen every Activa on ebay sell for less
unless it's a mint late S1 or series 2 I'd be surprised to see it realise
half this price.
I may have had a go at putting it right, but I cannot compete with
pugparts205 or BiminghamSalvage who're running a business off
the back of a low financial outlay for high profit return on the engine
modifier's market price PLUS the wheels, seats etc...
Birmingham salvage came back to say the anti roll rams are too
much effort to remove for the price THEY quoted me when I asked!!
Morons - any money coming in is better than NO money coming in...

Rarity Value ! !
Yes, they certainly are vultures.andmcit wrote:The vultures are circling and they're blatant about their intentions
- seen the seller's question & answer?
These boys are in a hurry aren't they - another customer lined up
on their waiting list - Activas are going to run out at this rate
Andrew
Although they will not get all the cars as there are people who will hang on to them.
So, at some stage their supply will be start to dry up, sooner rather than later, and also those of us that still own an Activa, will see it become an even more rare car than it already was, and the value of the car will level out, or at some stage in the distant future increase. 8)

Just playing devil's advocate here - I've seen an awful lot of talk on the subject of cannibalising BXs and Activas lately, but who's actually putting his money where his mouth is? We're not hearing a lot of happy endings, are we?
Anyway you can ponder the fate of this other ebay Activa as well:
