Partner combi central locking

Hi

Recently bought the Partner Combi Escapade 2nd hand and have a query re the central locking (not remote).

Can anyone tell me if it should operate fully from both front doors? At present I can turn the key in the driver door to both lock and unlock all the doors.

Using the passenger door I have to actually open it to unlock the other doors - but then I cannot lock the other doors via that door, I can only lock it on its own. It's a bit inconvenient, for eg, getting dogs out via the passenger rear sliding door onto the pavement and then finding I can't lock the car unless I go round to the driver side in the road!

Anyone know anything about this?

i had a customer in the other day complaining about exactlly the same thing,that is normal on all partner 2's have you got a h/f plip? thats the answer
