405 Clutch cable how much?

Post by steelcityuk »

I'm changing the clutch on my 405TD with a BE3 gearbox. GSF don't do a clutch cable and a local car spares has quoted me £31. Can anyone let me know if this is over the odds and if so where I should get one from? I've also checked Europarts but they don't do one either. Google's drawn a blank too.

Thanks.

Steve.

I dont know how much they should be, but you could try motorserv.

I have ordered parts with them before and they give excellent service.

Thanks for the info. For the time being I've put the old one back on.

Where are you steelcityuk?

I've got a couple of new 405 clutch cables. You can have one for a tenner if its the right model.

Its late now, I'll have a look tomorrow for you.

I think one was a manual adjust cable and the other an auto. I'll see if there's any numbers on them.

They're both brand new unused. I bought them for my 405 when I had the clutch done and the garage went and supplied one!

So they are surplus and any way I've sold the car now.
