Wood trim on Xantia Exclusives

Unread post by fastred »

How does one remove the wooden fascia trim without damaging it? Is is clipped on, stuck on or what?

I need to inspect the little fan and temperature sensor mounted behind the trim.

Thanks

Glued on. Removal will damage it.
Why do you want to remove it ?

depends which bit.
The bit across the bottom of the clocks is part of the binicel & can be removed but will the 'shelf' with it.
The door cappings are part of the door cards, probably can be removed but you'll need to take off the cards & maybe drill out the rivets.
The glovebox I think is stuck on & as Anders says removing it will damage it, but you could aways source a replacment door for the scrappie.

The sensor can be removed by unclipping the plastic holder from the right, to the left of the clock.
In case of difficulty, the clock and radio can be removed for access.
