I have just bought a p reg xanthia 1.8i temptation and noticed the abs light does not come on when i turn the ignition on have checked the abs fuse by steering wheel and abs one under bonnet and both are fine didnt realise when i bought car as got confused with engine managment light brakes work fine and has been dealer serviced since new (according to reciepts) also light does not come on when driving could this be dash bulb or something else?
Mine had that problem, it turned out to be the dash bulb.
The dash comes out relatively easily. I did mine without removing the steering wheel but it involved some scary bending of the cowl. Have a few spare bulbs ready and do a quick check of all the dash lights before you put it back in.
