106 axle

just wondering if anyone knows if you can fit a rear axle off a phase2 106 onto a phase1 - they both appear to be same to me.

Not a direct answer to your question but I needed a replacement axle for my 106 N reg, mark 1 (1996 ) and got one from a local breakers - the one they gave me came from a year 2000 Saxo. It fitted with no problems at all. So I would guess it would fit but hopefully someone more knowedgeable will be able to tell you for sure.

thanks for that, will have a look at trying to fit one, plenty of saxos in my local breaker
