More a parts identifying drawing - than a fitting diagram :
http://www.citroen-pr.net/catalogues/il ... 175150.gif

Still useful though with the parts table :

Item - part no - count - description
01 - 7401 CK - 01 - FRONT BUMPER - TO BE PAINTED
02 - 95 667 886 - 01 - BUMPER MOULDING - W/O HEADLAMP WIPER
03 - 95 667 887 - 01 - BUMPER MOULDING - HEADLAMP WASHWIPE
04 - 96 138 892 - 01 - GRILLE SCREEN
05 - 7429 58 - 01 - REINFORCE PLATE - HEADLAMP WASHWIPE
06 - 96 137 482 - 02 - FIXING SPACER
07 - 7452 89 - 01 - BUMPER MOULDING
08 - 7414 G7 - 01 - PLUGS SET - TO BE PAINTED
70 - 6922 76 - 04 - SELF-TAP SCREWS

Removing the bumper is pretty standard as bumper removal goes... it doesn't really need any special techniques...just follow your nose...

We've had the bumper right off Dad's Xantia and from memory you have to remove the blinkers to get at some of the screws, possibly the headlights as well.

As well as spanners/sockets you'll need some small torx screwdrivers, as many of the small screws are torx. (I don't remember the exact sizes but they're somewhere around T10)

Easy job - half an hour.

Simon

i going to do this today ive done this before on vauxhall cavalier but never on an xantia but it looks an easy enough job ill let you know how i get on i need to get this done as it spoils the look of the car. It was like this when it brought the car its cracked and part of the top chrome trim is missing so ive got to change the bumper, and thanks Anders for the diagram very helpfull.

Well, we get told a lot about French cars falling apart, but the Citroën brakes aren’t to credit for this outcome. :D
The owner is embarking on a cooling fan job, and has removed the bumper for easy access.
