Well as I earlier posted regarding my problem with the airbag light, well I followed the haynes manual with regards to disabling the airbag before checking components on it, but the part which says switch on your ignition then reconnect the battery, caused bloody havoc on my car, not only did it not solve the problem it caused me more problems as follows
Temp gauge dont work now !!!!!
Both my fans now stay on permanently whilst engine running !!!!!
Interior light does not go out until 20 secs or more (when engine running) as before it went straight out, only delay when engine not running (as norm)
And this is giving me a massive labour bill as they cant locate the problem they have replaced the 3 main sensors on the thermostate housing and still no gauge and fans still running.....
I will let you all know what the fault was when they have found it, but just a word of warning dont leave the ignition switched on when connecting a battery, I had my doubts but as the haynes mannual said do it I did it, and boy am i regretting it now.
If anyone out there has any of the symptoms that I hve with the temp gauge, fans not stopping or interior light then please if you resolved it please share your methods.
Many thanks in advance to all members.
