Citroen Xantia 94 "M" reg fan just will not work!

Post by Bambrown »

We have had our Citroen for several years now and the fan stopped working about a year in and since then no matter what we have tried we are only able to get it to work intermitantly and lately it will not work at all!

Anyone had this problem and managed to fix it?

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

When it doesn't work, does the rear heater not work as well? If this is the case, then it's a worn switch on the ignition barrel.

If you do a search you'll find quite a few posts covering how to repair this.

Hi.

Try the speed resistor, it is located in the same area as the Fan, remove cover from below glove box to reveal fan and air ducting. You'll see a plug with 5 or 6 wires going to it. Remove the plug, TWIST the circular unit the plug is plugged into, and try replacing it. They are quite common at packing up..

Good luck
