crank pulley tightening torque ?

Post by Mosser »

does anyone know the tightening torque for the crank pulley and the water pump bolts ?

I have a Citroen Synergie with the 2.0i 8v engine XU10J2 that is the same as fitted into the 405 and the xm

I've got the water pump in but not sure what torque to do it up to

I've done the water pump bolts up to 35Nm and i'm just about to do the crank pulley bolt up to 120Nm

these figures sound about right to me, maybe a little over the top on the water pump, but i'd rather it was too tight than too loose

The HDi crankshaft pulley bolt is given as 110Nm and coolant pump as 30Nm for ali blocks and 15Nm for iron blocks.

Eeek !!, i've got an iron block, hope the water pump bolts will be ok !

Its all done now, just about to start it so I will know in about 10 minutes !!

Intersetingly, My block is marked as a J4E block, and i though that was supposed to have a 16v head ?, I have double checked and i definatly have a J2 head on this block
