Anybody had this with their Xantia?

Post by Quackers »

Twice in 2 weeks this has happened, and both at around midnight.

Start car, wait for stop lights to go out, wait some more, and some more, then realise the car has still not risin! Stop lights still on, car still not risen.

Move car backwards, brakes work fine, notice a small puddle (about 1 foot wide) of LHM under the accumulator sphere. Look undercar, car is not leaking, yet will not rise. After 10 minutes car then starts to rise, stop light goes out and all is normal, next day check LHM level with car in high mode, level is fine. Car does 1500 miles, then does it again. But the car has not been leaking since the last time it did it.

How can it magically leak, then heal its self?

Its a 96 Xantia Activa.

Leak in the pump inlet pipe? (the rubber one) Check for cracks where it fits on the pump.
