BOL For BX 4x4?

Unread post by Ross_K »

Am I right in thinking Haynes never made a BOL for the BX 4x4?

Every one I can find says "All petrol engined models except 4x4".

Cheers

Haynes certainly didn't, not even the French edition covered the 4x4. Not sure if any other publishers did one.

I don't think anyone understood the BX 4x4 well enough to write a manual about it , presumably Citroen themselves must have produced some sort of factory workshop manual though?

Its the same with the Activa. There is no paperwork on it anywhere!

There is a full set of Citroen manuals available for the 4x4. I've got most of them.

As with the BOL though theres nothing like talking to somebody thats already done it!

I see you're a bit of a 4x4 collector. :D

That's good. At least there will be one shoulder to cry on... 8)

Book Of Lies
And the ultimate meaning is Haynes manual!!

Prnet has some exploded diagrams showing the bits that are still theoretically available from the main dealer, along with the part numbers.

Just register with a made up company name-its really meant for dealers but it's a useful site once you figure out how it works.

I can put the word out over here if you want Ian. Quite a few people were interested in the 4x4 I picked up until they saw the work involved in making it a runner again. I'd go for it myself only for the fact that I'm committed to this one now, and don't have room for more.

Post up some pics and a price and I'll ask around.
