C6 on Top Gear (in uk only) Sunday 4th June

Post by KevMayer »

Jeremy Clarkson is having a go in it apparently.

Should be interesting.

God help...

Should've been James May - he's more in tune with the interesting end of the whole car "thing". Both himself and the "hamster" Hammond defended the Xm on the classic wall when Clarkson laid into it for being french...

Sadly, I wouldn't build any hopes of a favorable reception for the car. There'll be the usual, 'lovely car, and my heart tells me I WANT IT, but I'll buy an ugly German car instead"

Anybody going to do a video capture for those of us who wont see it ?

And yes, I don't think Jeremy would give any Citroen a fair go, let alone a C6. I hear that they'll also be including a CX in the same clip so clearly they're going to do some kind of comparison....(I guess due to the shape similarity of the CX and C6....)

Simon

You're in luck (I found this out last night). If you click on the link above and then click on the window for "Watch this Week's Episode".

You can then see the whole of the 1 hour programme.

Obviously you'll haveto wait until some time next week to see the episode with the C6.

I missed last week's programme on the TV but was able to watch it last night once I realised they offer this service.

Enjoy,

Kev

p.s. I've seen the C6 on topgear a while back and Clarkson actually said he liked the styling very much.
Cheers, Kev

Nope...

I get a message that says:

"Unfortunately BBC Two video content is only available to users within the UK. We're sorry for any disappointment"

I drove the new C6 a couple of weeks ago, did about 15 miles in it. Its a fabulous car, very much in keeping with the Citroen tradition.

It reminded me very much of the DS in the way it feels like its floating along.

The 2.7V6 twin turbo diesel is very refined and unobtrusive but you can still tell you're driving a diesel.

The interior wood is something to behold, it took me a while to decide whether i liked it but in the end i just decided its completely different to anything i've seen before so just enjoy it!

I think if i'd got 30odd grand to spend i'd be looking for an SM and a DS instead though

I personally dont think Clarkson will like it simply because he doesnt like anything without an exotic badge.

This is due to TV licencing restrictions. However, it's entirely possible to "spoof" your location and have the BBC believe you're viewing it within the UK.

But I don't know how.

Had a gander through this month's What Car in WHSmith's yesterday, mainly 'cos there was a C6 on the cover. They didn't seem that impressed
