Hi again mates, my zx has bendix calipers and they are sounding pretty bad, creacking noise with car stationary and when moving too. The sound is coming out from the front brakes, as you press the brake pedal, the sound begins to appear and when you release it slowly, it happens the same noise. It's driving me crazy, i change both front rotors and new brake pads and after a few weeks, the sound is there again . A brake specialist did a lubing on the sliding rods from both calipers and the piston rod in the caliper with the same grease and the sound disappeared for about 4 days. The front braking is awful but i think that's due to this problem.
Any clues with this?
thanks mates
Creaking noise on zx front brakes

You don't say how you get it to creak when stationary - does it do it with no pedal pressure?
You can get most cars with front discs to creak when facing downhill if you slowly release the pedal.
The Bendix calipers are prone to pad movement but this usually shows up as a knock when you change direction - ie stop having gone forward - than apply them as you reverse. This can be quite alarming but is I think 'just one of those things' - you may be able to help that by greasing the rear of the pad lightly and ensuring that it and the caliper is clean - so that the pad moved smoothly into its new position when the car is reversed rather than snatching when the brake is applied.
Otherwise the slider bar and its bearings could be worn - which often shows up as uneven pad wear. I believe that the slider bearings can be replaced but I don't know if you will ever get the bits.

Hi, thanks for that, is that true about the braking force, because when i change pads and rotors, there was a big improvement but after a few weeks i started to hear the creaking noise louder, as a matter of fact, when i step on the brake pedal, the car tends to turn left, and when i brake hard, i look at the brake marks on the road and there's a difference about 40 % .I have that creaking noise on my ZX as well, and I'm pretty sure it is coming from when pads moves along the slider you mentioned. My solution is to live with it, it does not make your brake work worse that non creaking brakes.

also i read this post about this, i tried this, but with no good result

thanks for that, i think i'll remove both calipers and get them shot , then i'll get a berlingo or partner second hand calipers and ventilated rotors for my zx 1.4 avantage, for what i read here on the forum, it is possible to do this upgrade, is it true or not? can anyone tell me ? it has 14" wheel
thanks again mates
thanks again mates
thanks again, the problem is that when i did grease the sliders, the problem appeared in a couple of weeks, and i drove about 120 miles in that timerossnunn

Both my zx's have had creaky front brakes, I grease the sliders, no problems for a while, but it does come back, after about 6 months. I need to get some graphite based stuff, that should sort.
hi i have the same problem on my zx from the drivers side of the wheel
I had a look the other day and the creaking is from the whole calipher mechanism itself only option seems to be to replace the part that holds the break pads in place as this seems to cause the creaking and the piston part of the calpiher as well.
i think my braking performance is limited at the moment with this as the noise is quite loud on the inside as well.
what type of calipher is in your car ? mine has the little clip which u take off and slide a thin metal plate off to get the break pads off.
Was thinking about changing the whole lot for a screw in nut type of calipher.

sorry for being late, yes, i have the same caliper as well, i think that's the bendix type if i'm correct ( please, if i'm mistaken, somebody tell me ) , and definitly worth the upgrade of this brakeshi i have the same problem on my zx from the drivers side of the wheel
