605 pollen filter location

Post by Adstar »

I had assumed from reading various forums, that the pollen filter woudl be in the passenger footwell, under the glove box, behind the various switches.

However, when I got in there to look (having bought a replacement filter) I can't find anythign that matches the shap of the filter!

So 2 questions.

1: Just exactly where is the pollen filter? I have a 96 2.1 TD 605.

2: What shape should the filter be? I have bought one which is long (ft and a bit) with a 'bump' sticking out in the middle. The only thing I found in the foot well under the dash board was a round cyclinderical type shape, which was COVeRED with wiring loom and fuses!

Thanks

Adam.

1) this will help, i trust

http://www.boschautoparts.co.uk/pcCFil10.asp?c=2&d=1

click on peugeot, then scroll down to 605 and click on Installation instruction, it opens a pdf file.

2) cant really help here, maybe take the old one out

The Bosch book says 10 minutes, but I had to spend an extra 5 minutes digging out all the leaves n other creepy crawly crap that had amassed over time.

My air con now actually blows air at me.. and it doesn't stink!

Thew only job left now is the lights for the climate control dials!
