I have a xantia parcel shelf, with no rear blind. Ive seen one with a rear blind off a 1994 car, mine is 1996.
So 1) are all xantias rear shelfs the same size, and 2) do all xantias have a clip for the rear blind, even though the original shelf itself may not have the blind

it must be trim level, the car ive seen is a 94/95 sx, mine is a 96 lx dimension.Ross_K wrote:Up to what year did the parcel shelf have a blind in?
Or did it depend on the trim level?
so i would guess sx and vsx maybe turbo and V6 too. oh and how generous the operator felt on that day

Xantias seem to be in short supply in breakers yards over here. When you find one the parcel shelf is already gone or has a pair of speaker holes cut in it.jgra1 wrote:should be able to get one easily on ebay or at your local wreckers?
I'd take it off you in a flash except I know it would never get to Ireland in one piece.LeeDJC wrote:I've got one - £6.50 + p+p if you're interested. Really good condition too! (includes a blind too!)

For what it's worth, I was told that the (complete) parcel shelves are like hens teeth to find at breakers and snapped up quickly if one shows up because if you want one with a working blind, the clips on the end of the roller blind easily break off and Citroen dealers charge 20 quid for replacement clips!
Like John said, they do help with security for items in the back or reducing glare at night.
On the otherhand, people who simply can't be bothered with them throw them out as they clutter up their garages....

I'm in the south. Last time I had something that length sent from the UK it cost £35.jgra1 wrote:may be worth DHL ing?
might cost £20 ish tho?
J (are you NI or not) ?
I'll just have to keep trawling the scrappys here, or wait until next time I'm over there

there is one slot at top of each side of the plastic cover, are these what allow the blind clips to be sloted in to hold it up?
