Clunk on 1st/2nd Gear Change? 106

Hi,

I'm getting a wierd clunk when I change gears between 1st and 2nd on my '95 106 XN. It also happens if I pull away too sharply in first. However I've not yet noticed it in other gears, and it doesn't happen if I pull away really gently.

Any ideas if anything is wrong and if so, what?

Take a look at the geatrbox clutch housing - where the clutch cable attaches. Any means of manual adjustments here ?
If so then try get the clutch pedal higher. It should stay some 140mm over any carpetting - which is quite higher than the other pedals.
