Hi, my dads got a problem with his cylinder head. The car starts fine, but after about 2mins, the exhaust starts steaming like a kettle. Clean white steam, no trace of oil. A mechanic friend has said the head has probably cracked.
He only needs the car to last for another 6-8wks until he can get a new one. He's heard of a fluid which can seal small cracks in cylinder heads. Anyone had any experience of these? The car isn't worth doing anything with, so hence looking at temporary fixes.
Any thoughts, i'd be grateful. Cheers

Leak sealing.
Hello I have used something called K - seal and it sealed a badly leaking head gasket on a BX 16V, it was meant to be a temperary thing untill the gasket could be replaced. That was a year ago and no problems. Be worth a try.
Cheers.
