megane heater problems and starting issue

Hi All,

Ive got a renault megane dti 1998 with air con

firstly the heater only works on position speed 6.

looking at this the blower is underneath the bonnet. Has anyone ever had this problem as it looks like i might have to reomove the aircon unit as its right next to the blower

any recommendations if this can be done myself...ie what will happen if i remove the aircon pipes going into connected unit.


2nd issue is that sometimes the megane seems to take a good few turns of the engine to start up....pushing down the accel pedal brings it to life but the rest of the time starts up first turn any clue as where to look at first?
