GSF part numbers?

Unread post by smashymike »

I'm confused. Can anyone help me out with the correct part numbers for front discs & pads for a Xantia 1.9TD SX (95N) and a Xsara 1.4i LX(mk1,16v 1360cc). I understand that there's either Bendix or Brembo but any recommendations. Can't seem to find any pads to go with Brembo discs, assuming i've picke dthe right part number in the first place! Help!!

I think that the discs are the same, just by different makers, genuine and pattern.

Quinton Hazell who make many pattern parts have put some of their catalogues on the net. I think their brake linings (pads and discs) are on line in PDF form and will list all applications and will probably give a broader view of changes and applications throught the range.

Hi, I think the Xantia option is straightforward enough:

N60116 BRAKE DISC-FRONT VENTED(B XANTIA ALL (EXCL 16V/EST/2.1TD/HDI 110/V6 18.80
N64019 BRAKE PAD SET-FRONT XANTIA HATCH (EXC 2.0 16V/ESTATE/HDI) 16.50
N64019A BRAKE PAD SET-FRONT XANTIA (CITROEN BOXED) 32.50

On the Xsara I'd guess you've got vented front discs if it's a 16v, but I agree it's far from clear from GSF's listing! There's room for mistakes in the correct selection here so you'd have to be 100% sure you've got vented or solid...

N60110 BRAKE DISC-FRONT VENTED B XSARA 1.4/1.6/1.8/DIES/1.9TD EXC 16V/EST MODELS 18.25
N64026 BRAKE PAD SET-FRONT XSARA 1.4 + ABS 26.50
N64053 BRAKE PAD SET-FRONT XSARA 1.4 + ABS 23.50

No I cannot see any sense in the last pad listing - maybe due to name/quality of manufacturer as stated in earlier listings.

Bottom line is remove the pads/disc off one car first and use the second car to go and cross check/buy the RIGHT pads & disc to your originals, then do the same with the second car!!
