Good grief- a recumbant!!! As well as a C5!! Back trouble??? I've never been on one, but always wanted to try one.

(Or a Squidworth bike as my kids refer to them -Spongebob fans will know what I mean....)

Yes, it's a recumbent built by me. And yes, back problems. The C5 made me escape the knife of a surgeon, and still does.
I found out this type of bikes, and after having a try on a recumbent trike i made last month, i went to a 2 wheel one. Very comfy, nothing like a traditional bicycle (the office chair seat helps) . The big test is today on the Expo 98 compound, will let you know later.
The steering isn't on the wrong side, i just mirrored the image! :D
A CX would probably be a better choice if i wish to have company on the car:P

Cheers chaps ;)

Interesting choice of material for the frame.

I had to ask, because in your first picture in the back of the C5 it looked like it could be wood.

What attracted you to using wood ?

Yes, it would be interesting to see some detailed pics to see the construction, and design.

So its a sort of Morgan of the bicycle world!!

Years ago 'Bike' magazine ran an article on a chap who chucked the steel frame of a Bonneville, and replaced it with a home built wooden one- it was laminated and very well made.

Hehe!

And this afternoon i made a modification so it has even more power at the wheel: moved the seat 5cms forward and as such my legs are almost stretched, and not fully stretched as before and reinforced the seat back with better triangulation. I can now climb steeper inclines with it, as i can put more power on my legs! Think of it like adding a turbo to a 1.9D :D:D

Hi 406 V6 :D

This bike will not fit in your car, although as the frame is differently constructed I thought you, and others might have a laugh looking at it. :D
