ACTIVA suspension ECU

Post by Rostami »

Hello to all!

Is the ACTIVA suspension ECU the same as the normal HA-II ECU?
I know that the Activa has a third electrovalve, so it looks like the ECUs are different.

Thanks,
Rostami.

Hi,

From what information I have it is almost the same - it has one additional output that controls the Activa sphere Electrovalve. Whether that extra output exists, unused on the Hydractive 2 version is unknown however.

Also, the suspension ECU's are shared between the Xantia and XM, and are programmed at the factory as to what model they will be fitted to. (Different lookup tables)

ECU's supplied as original spare parts come unprogrammed, and must be programmed for the model of car they're going into with the ELIT unit, and this is a once only process as far as I know.

(Meaning that even if they are electrically compatible, and even if you have the programming unit, you may not be able to reprogram a Hydractive 2 unit as an Activa unit)

Simon
