Where's my clutch cable adjuster (with pics)?

Post by Confiteor »

Is anyone able to tell me where the auto-adjust mechanism is on my clutch cable? The car is a Citroen Synergie 1.9TD.

There is a picture of the cable here: http://www.myguff.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/untitled.bmp

Part "10" is the top of the clutch cable (pedal end). Following that down, what part is the adjuster? Does anyone know?

The adjuster on most XU engined cars is on the gearbox end and is not automatic.

I would guess it's the same on yours.

By the way, that image is huge, try saving it as a jpeg instead of a bitmap.

Clutch adjustor depends if the car has the automatic adjustment cable fitted.

Around 1994 these started to show up on PSA cars.

If it has then its normally halfway down the cable in a black rubber bellows around where the cable is clipped to the front subframe.
