First, thank you for your responds in my last topic.
And for my question,
Is it possible to convert a 2.0 8v 1997 xantia to a 3.0 engine?
If it is possible, what needs to be done?
Obviously i need a new ECU, what else?
Driveshafts?
it sure it can be done, i'd say it's a big job (not for the faint hearted), you might need to change a LOT, brakes and suspension included, and the gearbox, and most likely cooling.
Sounds to me like it's an idea in your head, so as it's still an idea, you need to get lots of homework done.
And my advice would be to get a donor car (V6 xantia), get a working one, so you can check the engine works, it's also handy because you will save a lot of time looking for the parts that are different on a V6 compared to the 2.0 8v.
I wouldn't swap the engines myself, i'd just buy a V6. So much simpler. And cheaper.
i know it's much simpler to buy one, but there is only one V6 in israel.

so buying one is not possible, and importing is not allowed...
oh, well then erm... i'll hand you over to the people who have done the conversion, I read a post a few days ago about people on this forum who've done the conversion to an activa car, anyway good luck...
