I have used RM Services in Hathern, Leicestershire many times for bigger repair jobs and MOTs. Not sure of their phone number right now, but just use www.yell.co.uk to find it.

Last time I asked, they were charging about £30/hr for labour. There parts prices were honest - they probably source their bits from Shepshed Auto Services (Shepshed, Leics) which is local and also worth a mention (sells to trade and public).

RM Services have worked on my old J-reg Citroen ZX (1.6L petrol), my wife's F-reg Renault 5 (1.1L petrol), and my L-reg Subaru Legacy (2.0L Turbo, petrol). In one instance they passed the Renault (which safe, but looked a total wreck) without a single fault for its MOT. My wife still likes to tell how they told her that they called all the mechanics over to look at it...

Good, honest people in my experience. I would have no qualms about asking them to look at my 'new' L-reg Citroen ZX TD Volcane (recently purchased for £550 - OH YES!) if it needs it.

Langworth motors in Langworth just outside Lincoln. He is a citroen/ peugeot specialist although they have gone into the rally school business.
