pug 406 1.9 dt Injector sensor

Post by rich201283 »

I have a pug 406 1.9 dt 1998 which is running rough and is sluggish, The management light is on, I had the fault read and it came back as (Start of injection fault) Nobody seems to know what this means, Is it the pump or the lift sensor?

Can anyone tell me what happens if the injector needle lift sensor

Ive just been out side and started it, i unplugged the injector sensor while it was running and it stalled so i dont think that is the problem, if i pull the brown lead off the pump there is no cange in the engines running, Can anyon tell me what this wire is or? One thing i noticed was that if i flicker the ignition off then on and rev the car up the k light goes off until the engine goes back down to low revs then the k light comes on again, It runs as if it is missing a beat every now and again and is running slightly hot,

I had the fault code read and they said it was a problem with the start of injection but nobody seems to know what this is.

Any ideas as i was gonna buy a fuel pump for it?
