Just changed my front pads . Whilst car jacked up notice that I could see oil just above the pwer steering gaiter . SO this would be on the drivers side of engine . It is not steering fluid. Where can this oil be coming from , Does not seem to be losing oil . I had the crank pulley done before christmas , No reports of oil leak. I would imagine the leak (or the mess) is round about crank pulley or slightly above , Any ideas would be great.
Cheers all
Simon

Oil leak HDI
2.0 hdi xsara estate been a pain but starting to look like a good buy
HDi Engines have gerenal oil leakage problems. On mine there have been three sources:
- Crankshaft - both sides!
- retentor on timing pulley on engine head.
But if the leak is on the RHS I would go for timing pulley. On mine the timing belt was "damp" with engine oil...
