HI, this is noty definitive by any means but on the o/s is quite a chunk of the loom and the ECU.....it would be worth checking to see if any wires have been damaged and thereby affecting the circuit. Other than that youre into fault codes and painstaking tracing - unless of course , anyone else knows better.

Had same problem on my 2.0i SX.
Was intermitent though and would cure itself if left for 5 mins.
Had the two lights and would bleep 3 times when I turned the ignition off.
Cured by disabling. Not ideal but was making me late for work.
Can't help you but would be intersted if anyone had a solution.

I have the same car, '95 M reg, and exactly the same problem. I once found it was worse in damp weather, but now hardly ever works so resorted to the same solution, turning the bloody thing off.
Darren, did you find that both LEDs come on whether or not you enter the correct code? It takes any four digits on mine to make that happen. Eventually it will work, either due to the time passed, or because I end up entering the code really, really quickly. I don't which is making any difference. Would love to know whats causing it.
I also have an alarm that doesn't sound and a red alarm led (by the clock) continually lit. Have replaced the alarm ecu already, no effect. Main and independant citroen garages can't offer any help. Beginning to wonder now if my cars victim to that reputed shoddy citroen wiring...

Dave,
Sorry for not responding earlier haven't checked this thread for sometime.
Exactly the same mate!
Had the car just over a month now and come to think of it think it might be related to the damp!
Was fine for a while (while the weather was fine anyway)
I need to change the code anyway perhaps that might make a diference!
Regards
