1993 ZX 1.9 TD Volcane rear arm bearings shot, usual problems, rear wheels /----\ and sqeaking noise etc.
I've found a perfect rear beam from a 1993/4 1.8 ZX (low mileage and I---I).
Plenty of you have replaced it the other way round - will I have any problems and is it easier to:
1. replace drums on the new beam with my discs
or
2. keep drums on the 1.8 beam
ZX TD replacing beam from 1.8

find a beam with discs already on it its not worth changing arms etc....
ive put quite a few posts on here about changing beams as i did it a short while ago - have a search for it maybe.....

Need an answer on this asap please !
I am the unfortunate spanner monkey waiting to do this job on "ukitr's" ZX
Reason we need to know before starting is the handbrake cable !
If disc brake set-up will swap over onto drum brake set-up radius arms then no probs !
If we cannot swap over brakes then he needs to order a drum brake handbrake cable befroe we start swap over.
I do not intend removing radius arms from axle beam just swapping brakes from one beam/arms to the other
