xantia central locking + windscreen washer

When my windscreen washer bottle runs out of water my remote central locking starts working.

As soon as I fill it up and start using it again it stops working.

any ideas?

Thats a real funny electric Gremlin 8)

Believe it could have to do with a low level washer warning coming on - and then the CL suddenly gets a feed ...
Things like that happens when bundles of wires/cables are wet/corroded.

Lately we have had sort of a standard answer to Xantia Mk1 electric problems : the cable harness under the radiator needs a good TLC.
- another Mk1 favorite : earthing points under battery.

I had problems with the remote central locking a while back. Never connected the two, given its got plenty screenwash at the moment i'll have to wait and see. I'd just put it down to being french electrics
