Rain and XM,s

Had to move house recently through no fault of my own and there isn't space for a garage which being a car lover is really eating me up,anyway,the XM is sitting out in all weathers(although we do put a cover on sometimes)and i've increasingly noticed a few niggly things happening,stop light on centre console staying on longer along with Hydraulic pressure warning(no hydraulic faults)and now the drivers window just goes down about three inches and jams!anyone any ideas about the window?

I have a large garage but the space is much to useful to keep a car in!. My XM stays out in all weathers, and although I must admit its the first one I have had that doesn't leak rainwater into the car, in all other respects it doesn't seem to have suffered.

The pressure warning light problem is quite likely to be due to the cold weather causing the fluid to thicken a little, especially if the filters need cleaning, mine has had a tendency to do that this winter, in spite of the fact that I have recently fitted a new pump.

Your window problem may have something to do with the ingress of water, but could be that its sticking in the guide, mine is so loose that it rattles if its down, so I dont have that problem.

I wouldn't put a cover on it unless its perfectly dry, it could cause more problems than it solves, unless its not being used of course. Putting a wet car in a garage is worse than leaving it out, as it will dry much quicker with a bit of wind round it.

We should hopefully be getting a bit of better weather shortly
