an easy way to fit a manual wing mirror

Post by drewmunn »

I seem to get all the luck with my citroen lately, the other week i had to swerve to avoid a massive flatbed that was hurtling up the road without right of way, muggins hits a new curb with stones on it and bang, then the jack dont work. Luckily a kind xantia driver stopped with a trolley jack.

Then at a later date in our works car park someone knocks my mirror off, of course they didnt leave any details. The same happened the other side last year.

Anyone know an easy way to gain access to the correct part and get the wires in without ripping the whole door lining off? I tried to put one on last year and just ended up leaving it without being able to adjust it, this time though its my drivers side and i really need to be able to adjust it. Any tips?

Door linings are OK. Like anything else, it's a case of being careful and taking your time. Having said that, it's as well to have a few spare plastic clips handy...
