Xantia 1.8 Tuning

Post by MrXantia »

I wonder how to make the most of my relative dull 112HP 1.8l 16V Xantia-2 engine.
Anybody have any suggestions? I'm thinking chiptuning or a sports exhaust (not too noisy, please. It's still a limo, thank you). But really, I just feel that nothing happens when I put the pedal down. There is even a short delay if I shift gears to quick, the nose dives before acceleration is picked up again. And the automatic "rev.-keeper" that "helps" me by keeping the engine spinning at a raised rpm while I fundle the stick also annoys me. Can I disable that function?
Thanks for any answers, regards Lars P.
