where is engine code?

hi guys
could someone please tell me where i can find the engine code for my car
it is a
n reg xantia sx 2.0 16v hatchback
i cannot seem to find it on the engine

If I'm not wrong, code should be stamped on the engine block. That is the one used by Citroen. There should be another in the right side of the engine bay, in a metal plaque.

i know it should be on the engine block but i cannot find it that is why i need to know where is it on the engine

you should have a metal plaque on a section of the bodywork around the engine bay
