Squeaking flying carpet
Just a simple one, I haven't got access to my Haynes manual at the moment. Over the last week or two I've noticed a bit of a squeak developing when going over speed bumps (it sounds like its coming from the suspension rather than interior). Its nothing serious at the moment but something is dry. My question...are there any particular grease nipples to go for (any at all on this car?), or are there any other places which would start to sqeak first. Its only at low speeds that I can hear it. Any suggestions before I clamber underneath?. Thanks Gaz
The rear swing arms start squeaking when they are on the way out. Never happened to me yet but it could be. Get your car level and at correct (driving) height, then stand behind it and look at the rear wheels if they look like this /..\ you've got worn bearings.

Someone on this forum replaced them not long ago, it's do-able (apparantly) and the info is available on the forum (that's the good news )

It is dooable..
Make sure you have all the right kit before you start ( expecially if you only have the one car ). Going to the local GSF is not easy if your only car is on stands in bits
I would also say it's worth investing in some seals for all the hydraulics ( cheap ) just to be on the safe side.
