Peugeot Diagnostic Tool Diag 2000 NG

I am trying to help a friend who is trying to set-up a workshop.
He is trying to source for an alternative engine diagnostic tool which is equivalent to Peugeot Diagnostic Tool Diag 2000 which apparently is only issued to licensed dealer.
All advices and recommnedations are strongly appreciated.

As a follow up to my enguiries, I have surfed the net and discovered that there is a similar diagnostic tool product i.e Diag2000 and Lexia which is produced by Actia UK Ltd.

Have anybody used this alternative diagnostic tool before. Your comments are much appreciated.
