Xantia new clutch, What a difference !!

Hi everyone,
Finally got around to having a new clutch fitted to my Xantia TD the other day. I was advised by a Citroen dealer over a year ago to have it replaced, but I didn't fancy paying the £££££ price they quoted at the time. In the end, I went to an independent specialist who fitted one for £200 + VAT, which seemed quite reasonable to me ?
I must say, the improvement is amazing. It was getting to the stage that driving in stop-start traffic was actually hurting my left foot as the pedal action was so heavy! Its no wonder the plastic pedal clips snap.
Isn't it strange though how faults like this can develop so gradually that you don't even notice, and its only when its repaired you really appreciate just how bad it was before?
Anyway, just felt like sharing that
