Hi all,
Never heard of this site but it looks good, found you while Googling for some info, see below...
I've been trying to find an answer to this question for a while, but haven't been able to find any information. I've looked everywhere!
I noticed that the 206 HDi's (I assume the newer model) have an oil temperature gauge.
My 306 has the gauge, but only uses it for an oil level check when I first turn the iginition on.
Do you know if it would be possible to wire it up? The 306 petrol sport models do use the temperature function, so I assume most of the components are already there...
Even other Pugs and Citroens have this facility, using the HDi engine.
It might even be a case of the functionality is there in my car and something just needs to be enabled in the ECU (You know what car manufacturers are like!)
Any help you can give me would be great!

On the 306 you would need to change the instrument panel & add the sensor in the sump.
Then if the wiring isnt there you would have to add that as well.
The 306 uses proper wires, relays & switches etc, It isnt like the newer Peugeot & Citroen cars that are all digital with the fancy multiplex system.
The 306 doesnt have a BSI unit that controls all the cars electrics so you cant fiddle around with it electricly, The only thing you can do is update the engine ECU software.
Also be warned that a instrument cluster from a petrol 306 will NOT work on a diesel, The rev counter uses a different trigger pulse so you have to use one from a diesel car.
