Removing a radio form a 99 406 HDi

Unread post by Quinny »

How do you do it?

I don't want to take the radio out of the car, merely to see if the aerial is fully plugged in,as I'm having intermittent radio reception, despite fitting a brand new aerial and base.

put 2 pieces of wire in the 2 holes either side in radio front panel this releases securing tabs.can use a couple of bits of wire coat hangers or go to your local car accesorie store and get a couple of pins

I don't know if the 406 is similar but on the 405 you can unclip the carpet covered side panel of the centre console and get to the back of the radio
