Alarm indicator failure

Post by jonnyboy »

Recently when I set the alarm, the direction indicators stopped flashing, although the alarm works perfectly, a few days later , only the near side direction indicators flas on arming / dis-arming.
This is bugging me as I like all my equipment to work properly,
Any ideas ???
I thought possibly the alarm relay, (GREEN 4 pin No.4 on autodata plan) (Cit. dealer says purple 5pin)
Grateful to any thoughts on this

I guy on here some time ago had a similar problem, his indicators stayed on, he rectified it by fitting a new relay on the alarm PCB its self, this is not the common or garden type though and is soldered to the board, box is located under the carpet/front passenger seat on a Xantia.
Also if any amount of water gets into the footwell, the wire connectors to the alarm can end up submerged, and lets face it, Citroen electrics don't need this level of abuse to cause grief.
