Air bag rotary connector

Post by walcit »

Ive just been trying to fix the stereo controls on the steering wheel. I decided to take the steering wheel off, but managed to ruin the air bag rotary connector behind it. All of the things inside it came out and a couple are broke. Where can I get another one? Are they expensive?
Any help appreciated
Thanks :)

Your local dealer is the place to go. I had a look here http://www.citroen-pr.net/ If it's a Xantia series 2, £110

The PR-net lists the connector here (series I) :

0290 03 441015 STEERING WHEEL CAP COLUMN JACKET SAC GONFLABLE COTE CONDUCTEUR JUSQU'A OPR 06964
05 4112 W3 ROTATING SWITCH - DRIVERS AIR BAG AND WITHOUT REMOTE RADIO CONTROL
05 4112 Q1 ROTATING SWITCH - DRIVERS AIR BAG AND REMOTE RADIO CONTROL

0290 03 441025 STEERING WHEEL CAP COLUMN JACKET SAC GONFLABLE COTE CONDUCTEUR DEPUIS OPR 06965
05 4112 X6 ROTATING SWITCH - DRIVERS AIR BAG AND WITHOUT REMOTE RADIO CONTROL
05 4112 X7 ROTATING SWITCH - DRIVERS AIR BAG AND REMOTE RADIO CONTROL

Judging by (my price in DKr) Dave's price is for the version with remote radio control.

Theres always the scrapyard for secondhand parts.

I would rather pay to have the airbag working then drive around with it disarmed for the sake of around £110 to fix it.

An airbag SAVED my life & it really annoys me when people dont care for there own safety & the upset they could cause there family by being killed in an accident by driving around with a faulty / disarmed airbag :x
