1999 V reg 306 soundproofing

Had a look under the bonnet of Jeans Pug 306 today. On lifting it up, I was surprised to see there is no soundproofing on the underside? the question is, should there be some? It looks a bit naked without any!

i think it is only the diesels and may be the gti6 which have the sound proofing,the little engines 1.4/1.6 dont have it

My Xsi has one. The ones for the diesel and turbo diesel are different, so use you need to use one from the n/a diesel.
