I am just about to take the dash out to do the heater matrix......Do I need to disconnect the battery when doing this? Cus I am wondering how to tackle the steering wheel? will the air bag deploy?? Any tips about doing the whole procedure would be most helpful

p.s. How many bolts are there in the engine bay that release the dash?

People on here state if you are taking the airbag/steering wheel off then to disconnect the battery (must!) and leave for about 10-15mins for the 'backup' battery to stop and then the airbag technically in theory shouldnt deply.

It is very easy to remove the air bag/steering wheel.You just need a little care when handling the airbag.
