Xsara transponder alarm procedure

Ok so you've unlocked your car, opened the bonnet & disconnected the battery.
When you put the battery back on whats the correct procedure is it:

Disarm, Unlock, Ignition, Start
or
Disarm, Ignition, Start

Can you do a dumbass guide to this, i.e what buttons to press, cheers.

ok had another look, everything seems to say about a red led, mine doesn't have this

I think mothers Xantia as a similar remote, I'll see what does what on that and go from there.
