AX/ZX Mudflaps

Post by FFX-DM »

Who knows if AX mudflaps are compatible with the ZX? I got a bit bored with the mud sprays up the side of my AX and purchased some mudflaps (two pairs for front and back) from the Citroen chaps. Well, being a lazy moo, I never fitted them and now I have sold my AX. Do you think they would go on my ZX or should sell them to some AX owner and start again? Jon, can you tell me what the Cit part no's are for the correct flaps? Ta!

nah, take the AX ones back or sell 'em.
Zx mudflaps, now let me see. Ah yes, you can get "contoured" or "blade" type for the front on a ZX, the blade being ye olde traditional ones, the countoured sort of just come out a bit from the wheelarch, but look better. At the back, you have to tell the dealer whether its a 3 or 5 door and if it has 13 or 14" wheels. There was also a choice of blade and contoured at one time, I don't know whether this is the case.I'm going from memory. I last worked in Citroen Parts Dept in 1994. Was just going to check this info and give you the part numbers, but my "source" has gone down this afternoon. ooh.

Unfortunately, Citroen have deleted ZX Mudflaps from their latest "Accessorie" (as they call it)catalogue.
As they say, "check with your dealer"!. He may have one of the older catalogues, and if so they can tap the part numbers in and see if ZX mudflaps are still available.

Accessorie? Yuk!
It's not that long since I bought flaps for my 91 AX, so I would have thought that flaps for the 96 ZX would still be available? Logically?... STOP LAUGHING!!! <img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle>
There is always the option of the universal cut to not quite fit any vehicle ones, but then I would not have the pretty chevrons on me flaps. If I have any joy tommorrow, I will post up the part numbers here.
