hal*****

Post by john alexander »

Hi there , here in livingston a certain car accessory shop reaches a new low. I went to maplins to get an ariel adaptor, only to find that hal***** next door had bought all their stock. I went in to find that the parts they paid £2.00 for were now £4.29..The manager seems to think that this is a perfectly acceptable way to do business.I asked if he would price match so he took great delight in telling me he couldn't as maplins didn't have any.have just voted with my feet. Regards john.

hi there, they're not called halfrauds for nothing !! unfortunately, with the rise in internet shopping causing the independant motoring accessory shops to close, then these bandits will be about the only option if you want to just nip out and get something quickly !!
I fear that our freedom of choice in all types of shopping is under a relentless attack from the "big boys" of the high street and the internet.
I won't do that again

I saw a magazine advert for Halfrauds the other day.

Made me laugh the prices quoted for the items.

A certain model of satnav at £199 that can be picked up for under £150 in other high street stores.

There own brand of super car bulbs that start at £13 EACH! Well I would rather have a better set that won an independent product test & a pair of those is less the £18 online.

Even my local Peugeot main dealer is CHEAPER for parts then Halfrauds!

I only go in Halfrauds if im desperately in need of something & cant get it anywhere else or theres a sale on.

They've changed a lot since I were a lad, and avidly studied their catalogues full of fascinating things like aftermarket indicator sets and heaters...
