ZX windscreen wiper

the windscreen wiper on my '97 ZX has started to make some clicky/grindy noises. Do I fix it with:

a) some grease in the right place
b) a new winder mechanism
c) swearing
d) ignore it and hope it goes away/never rains again ever.

Try running some oil down the drive spindle/s first, if that doesn't help its a motor out job I am afraid.

run a little oil down the spindle and make sure its bolted tight "they have a tendency to work loose" if excessive ply on the wiper arm then new parts are best also consider the scrap yards for a replacement unit
