yellow engine light
Hi While having a short drive in my Xantia hdi sx today the yellow engine light came on the one with the K on it...any ideas anyone, the car still run ok never lost power , when i parked up and went back to the car 5 minutes later switched on the engine the yellow engine light went off as per usual......any ideaa why it should come on ?

You might have something coming up just around the corner.
The lamp signals that the engine ECU has detected an engine management error while driving. Could be anything from a corroded connector to dirt in the fuel.
Donno how you read out the the diagnostic codes from the later type HDI ECU's. This code will point to the problem area on the engine. That is if the error was present long enough to be stored as an error code ...
