High Pressure Fuel Pump

I've been told today that the High Pressure Fuel Pump has failed :evil:

Can these be repaired :?:

If not how much am i looking at for a new one :?:

contact your local bosch agent they may be able to overhaul it :?:

I'd have it checked and then get a quote just to make sure it is the pump!!! I'd also price one up from a scappy as there should be loads around for your model.

Sheeeet :( that sounds expensive. Has it just gone all of a sudden with no warning or were there any strange noises etc prior to it going kaput? I notice you have had some engine management lights come of before, Im guessing this is all down to the pump failure?
99 Xsara SX HDi 105k with PSi power box- smokier but well worth the wonga!

No warning or noises , the engine management light came on but didn't register a fault.

Have sent details to get a secondhand pump off Breaker link fingers crossed . Apparently there like rocking horse poo :?:

If i don't get a reply its off to the Bosch specialist for a refurb or a new pump :evil:

Seems to be a bad habit for HDI pumps. You're defo not the first to face this lemon ... :roll:

And yes they fail w/o warning. Engine simply dies for good because of missing fuel.
